Ideal for supervisors or first-line managers, the Level 3 Qualification in Coaching and Mentoring is designed for supervisors and first-line managers, to support the development of coaching and mentoring skills and techniques of individuals and teams, alongside working to achieve organisational objectives.
Learners develop foundational coaching and mentoring skills to support individual and team development, manage team dynamics, and promote equality and diversity.
Organisations benefit from enhanced team performance, aligned with organisational objectives, and the development of a culture of continuous development.
Business coaching and mentoring programmes can be supported with psychometric profiling to allow individuals to really understand themselves and understand how others might see them.
Who should attend: The learning is designed for first line managers, supervisors, team leaders and anyone involved in coaching and mentoring individuals and/or teams. They are designed to help managers improve their communications and motivation skills, improving their efficiency and performance in their coaching and mentoring role. This supports the development of coaching and mentoring skills and techniques with individuals, teams and objectives.
Assessment: The learning is remote and completed with self-study, supported by an approved assessor. Individuals will complete assignments which are assessed by their assessor, feedback is given via an e-portfolio system, Quals Direct. There are no examinations. Individuals will also receive affiliate membership of the Chartered Management Institute whilst studying, giving access to the Institutes online learning resources.
Certification: Certification is awarded through Chartered Management Institute (CMI). All courses have progression opportunities within the framework of Leadership and Management.

Certificate: Two units which equals 13 credits. This more extensive qualification will give you a broader knowledge of coaching and mentoring skills, focusing on relationships, operational processes and evaluation techniques.
Diploma: Six units which equals 37 credits. This is designed for supervisors and first line managers. It builds on the learning gained in the certificate and introduces organisational culture, values and behaviour while developing your skills in managing team dynamics and equality and diversity.
