First Aid at Work Level 3
Description
This course covers the roles and responsibilities of the named first aider at work and is recommended for those who are working in a higher risk environment.
Ensuring you have the correct level of first aid available in work is not just a legal requirement, but important for the safety of all members of staff. You can be sure you have fulfilled your legal responsibilities by booking your staff on this course and you will be providing a quality first aid service for your staff. It can be delivered to groups in your company or as an open course in one of our training centres and is very ‘hands on’. The course duration is 3 days.
Who should attend: This course is aimed at those who have a specific responsibility for first aid in the workplace and so are the named first aider.
Assessment: Assessment is made and tested within the duration of teaching.
Certification: This level 3 course is accredited by Qualsafe.
This three-day course covers the following modules:
- Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the first aider
- Understanding of how to deal with minor injuries
- Enable assessment of the incident and what action to take
- How to put someone in the recovery position
- How to give CPR to someone who needs it
- Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Dealing with more major injuries such as heart attack, angina, shock, diabetes, asthma, head and spinal injuries

Day starts: 09:00
Lunch: 12:00 (tea, coffee and cold buffet to be provided by NLT)
Day ends: 16:00
