Slinging and Lifting
Description
For those employees who are involved in lifting and slinging in the workplace, this course enables them to do it safely and to use the right techniques. This course can be for beginners or as a re-fresher after 3 years. This course is non-accredited. It can be delivered to groups in your company and is very ‘hands on’. The course duration is 1 day.
Who should attend: Anyone in the workplace who are moving objects by using specialist lifting and slinging gear.
Assessment: Ongoing assessment of competency will be throughout the training day.
Certification: This course is non-accredited, but an attendance certificate will be issued.
This one-day course covers the following modules:
- The safe use of lifting and slinging gear within the workplace
- When it is appropriate to use either piece of equipment
- Safe manual handling techniques
Start and finish times to be agreed with the company.
