Make your staff aware of mental health difficulties and create a positive mental health culture in your workplace:
This course will give managers or supervisors, who have to power to make changes in the workplace, the ability to support and help those individuals with mental health illnesses to be the best version of themselves.
Who should attend: For those with the ability to make appropriate changes in the workplace to aid those with mental health conditions.
Assessment: Assessment is made and tested within the duration of teaching.
Certification: This Level 3 course is accredited through NUCO.
This course covers the following modules:
- What is Mental Health?
- Why people develop mental health conditions
- What the role of a mental health first aider is
- Knowing how to provide advice and practical support
- Knowing how to recognise and manage stress
- Understanding the impact of substance abuse
- Understanding the first aid action plan for mental health and be able to put it in place
- How to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace
- Recognising a range of mental health conditions and the support/therapy provided by professional healthcare providers. Conditions covered include: depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, self-harm, PTSD, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia.
