One in five managers are missing out on career opportunities by not having a recognised management qualification.

To assist managers in making the decision about whether to invest in their career, NLT Training Services has introduced CMI Bitesize to its Leadership and Management suite of courses.

CMI Bitesize is a new, innovative series of practical online programmes which cater to the growing demand for micro-learning.

Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Bitesize offers people the opportunity to sample a short online course ahead of making the decision to undertake the full Level 5 Diploma award.

Priced at £125, each Bitesize module takes around three months to complete compared to an average of 18 months (370 hours) for the CMI Level 5 Diploma.

Research shows that nearly three quarters of all leaders and managers who achieve a professional qualification go on to do something else.

Each of the short Bitesize programmes, which are aimed at aspiring or practicing middle managers, are aligned to key management and leadership topics relevant in today’s world.

Delivered online, there are seven short programmes to select from, including:

  • Managing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Leading in a Digital Age
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Managing Projects to Achieve Success
  • Data Driven Decision Making
  • Brexit: Leading Change and Risk

The Bitesize programme is a mix of practical tools, case studies, checklists, videos and real world insights all delivered online and designed to give learners a better understanding of the topic. The learnings from Bitesize programmes can then be mapped over to a full Level 5 if the learner wishes to continue their learning.
