Description
All too often good operators are promoted into a team leader or supervisor role and are expected to be effective immediately. This one day workshop offers those who suddenly find themselves in charge of the people they were previously working alongside. It will provide individuals with the theories, models and principles of team leading to help them become established in their new role.
Who should attend: This will help those new in a team leaders and supervisors role to establish themselves in their new roles.
Assessment: Assessment will be performed on the day by the course tutor whilst the individual is working within the group.
Certification: This course is not accredited but attendees will receive and attendance certificate.
This course will enable individuals to:
- Understand the organisation they operate in.
- Identify the role of the Team Leader or supervisor.
- Understand different leadership styles, identify your own style and know when to adapt
- style.
- Understand roles and responsibilities and accountability.
- Understand how to set goals, objectives and targets.
- Describe how to deal with conflict and manage difficult conversations.
Schedule will be negotiated and agreed with each learning episode.
