Manual Handling Level 2
Description
This course will give your employees the knowledge to ensure they operate in a safe way to prevent injury when moving and handling objects in the workplace. They will become familiar with the laws around moving and handling safely and understand the responsibilities of both employees and the employer. It can be delivered to groups in your company or as an open course in one of our training centres and is very ‘hands on’. The accredited course duration is one day and a half day refresher is available, this will be non-accredited however.
Who should attend: Anyone who is involved in moving goods within the workplace.
Assessment: Assessment and testing is made throughout the teaching day.
Certification: This level 2 course is accredited by Qualsafe.
This one-day course covers the following modules:
- Manual handling laws
- Common injuries by not using the right techniques
- Responsibilities of the employer and employee
- Manual handling risk assessments
- Different types of manual handling equipment
- Theory of safe manual handling

Lunch: 12:00 (tea, coffee and cold buffet to be provided by NLT)
