Meet Paul Bower, one of our trusted training associates.

Paul delivers NEBOSH and IOSH courses at both our Chesterfield and Scunthorpe sites.

Paul has more than 20 years training experience delivering training and prides himself on his courses being ‘interactive and dynamic.’ “I don’t want to kill people with PowerPoint presentations,” he says.

He adds: “Although the courses I deliver are mandatory, I still want people to feel a sense of achievement, which is why I’m very much about being inclusive and engaging people. I think a lot of people who attend my courses are surprised by the fact they’re not a typical ‘chalk ‘n’ talk.’

Paul is passionate about health and safety and believes the correlation between the increase in training rates and the dramatic decline in fatality rates is no accident. “Most of us have family and children and part of Health and Safety is to ensure that we all go home in one piece.

Behind the passion for health and safety lies a long-suffering Sheffield Wednesday fan and a talented drummer. Paul is the drummer in a band called The Sideways which once supported Oasis. His band also shares the same manager with Siouxsie and the Banshees. Now, who says Health and Safety isn’t interesting?
