Adam Cox has stunned assessors at NLT Training Services, completing his CMI-accredited Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification in only six months. Usually, CMI courses at this level take around 12 months to complete.

Adam balanced studying the course with his full-time role of Quality Manager at Mentor Training, a Chesterfield-based forklift operator training provider. He explained: “I dedicated a day a week to the course so that I could focus on it without any distraction.

“My employer was incredibly supportive of me doing the course as they recognised that the knowledge I gained from the qualification could be passed onto other managers within the business.”

Adam described the course content as ‘thought provoking’, saying: “Before joining Mentor Training in 2019 I studied at university where I built my knowledge base in business studies. The Leadership and Management course enabled me to go beyond this and really develop my people management skills. It’s a great foundation for my future career in the industry.”

It was NLT’s personal approach that prompted Adam to choose us as his training provider. He explained: “I sent off a lot of email enquiries to course providers, but it was only Sarah (Temperton) who took the time to call me and find out more about me and my requirements. I then met with Sarah, and Steve and Simon, who subsequently became my assessors. I felt they cared and would support me and I wasn’t wrong!”

Adam praised the information and guidance he received from NLT. He added: “My assessors were really responsive to all the emails I sent. We also did video calls which also helped me. I’ll definitely use NLT again.”
