To help employers meet their legal responsibility to provide ‘adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work,’ NLT is now offering a brand new First Aid at Work course.

The QA Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course, delivered by Pochat Training, is designed to be practical and hands on, with attendees addressing the key elements of emergency first aid at work.

This course is a nationally recognised, Ofqual regulated qualification accredited by Qualsafe Awards. This means that, rest assured, your Emergency First Aid at Work training is of high quality and covers your legal obligations under HSE requirements.

The one-day course covers:

• The roles and responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider
• Assessing an incident
• Minor injuries
• Cuts, grazes and bruises
• Minor burns and scalds
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• Shock
• Recovery position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Wounds and bleeding

Accidents do happen, even in low-risk environments, so there should be at least one person in the workplace that holds an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. According to the Labour Force Survey, there were 609,000 injuries at work in Great Britain during 2016/17.

The course is delivered at NLT Training Services’ offices in Chesterfield and Scunthorpe or it can be delivered at your company’s premises.

Priced from just £65 per person, book your place on the next course by getting in touch with Dawn Ballantyne on 0333 8803540.
