Working in partnership with schools

Our relationship with the schools we work with is of paramount importance. The strong partnership that we enjoy with schools throughout Derbyshire and Lincolnshire enables us to attract and produce high quality Apprentices who are well equipped for a range of professions.

We’re committed to raising awareness of employment and training opportunities for young people and ensuring that young people are assisted in accessing and developing into jobs that fit their skill sets, attributes  and desires. That’s why we run a number of roadshows in schools and also invite students in to our Chesterfield-based training facility and let them experience first-hand the tools and equipment they could be using in their chosen career.

If you're a school and want an informative and engaging engineering careers event, then we've developed STEER (Schools Engineering & Educational Roadshow) .

STEER  is a free careers event for schools that brings the engineering environment to you using state-of-the-art table top engineering equipment such as 3D printers and welding simulators to engage and enthuse students about this fast growing sector.

If you'd like STEER to visit your school, get in touch with your local Business Development Team today.
