Course Objectives
• To enable new entrants to the industry to work towards and achieve a work based qualification to Nationally Recognised Standards across a range of activities fundamental to warehouse/stores operation
• To enable experienced personnel to obtain a Nationally Recognised qualification which acknowledges their abilities and achievement
Course Content
Following an introduction to the standards and procedures and the discussion about, and completion of, a work based Skillscan the candidate, together with his/her assessor will be required to submit evidence of competence against eight units, comprising:
Mandatory Units
201 Contribute to Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Workplace
202 Contribute to Keeping the Workplace Secure
203 Work Effectively in Own Organisation
Optional Units – 5 units chosen from:
204 Receive Goods and Materials into Storage
205 Put Goods and Materials into Storage
206 Maintain the Quality of Goods in Storage
207 Dispatch Goods and Materials
208 Assemble Bulk Orders for Goods
209 Pick Stock and Make up Orders
218 Operate Specialised Plant and Machinery Requirements
219 Lift, Transfer and Position Loads
