The programme is split into 2 half day sections:

Afternoon: Overview of the Principals of Fire risk management.

• Brief outline of fire management principals
FC1 – Overview of the principals of Fire risk management
• The principals of fire (including the fire triangle)
• Causes and preventon of fire
(sources of ignition, seperation from fuels)
• Fire protection in buildings
(means of escape, Fire extinguishers, alarms)
• Safety of people in the event of a fire
(emergency evacuation procedures, behaviour of people in the event of a fire)
• Summary of a fire risk assessment
