Course Objectives
• To enable participants to achieve work based competences in Metal Processing Activities
• To assist participants gain a nationally recognised qualification
• To improve the skills level of an Employer’s Workforce

Course Content
The pathway for this course is:-

Laboratory and Associated technical Activities

After induction to the programme candidates will be required to provide evidence of competence for the units that make up a specific pathway. They will also need an understanding of underpinning knowledge for the selected pathway and individual units

Laboratory and Associated technical Activities Pathway

Mandatory Units (all four units must be completed)
MPO2/001 : Meet Safety, Health And Environment Requirements In The Workplace
MPO2/002 : Support The Achievement Of Work Objectives
MPO2/004 : Support Your Own And Others' Improvements At Work
MPO2/056 : Carry Out Simple Testing Operations

Optional Units (must complete two units from examples below)
MPO2/057 : Carry Out Simple Sampling Operations
MPO2/058 : Prepare Laboratory Materials, Equipment And Resources
MPO2/059 : Calibrate Equipment
MPO2/060 : Use Laboratory Information Systems
