Course Objectives
There are eleven Pathways that an employer would select from
including;

• Mechanical Maintenance
• Electrical Maintenance
• Fluid Power Maintenance
• Equipment Installation

After induction to the programme candidates will be required to provide evidence of competence for the units that make up a specific pathway. They will also need an understanding of underpinning knowledge for the selected pathway and individual units.

Example Mechanical Maintenance Pathway

Mandatory Units
ENM2/001 Complying with Statutory Regulation and Organisational Safety Requirements
ENM2/002 Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and Documentation
ENM2/003 Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering

Plus all the following Units:-

ENM2/004 Handing Over and Confirming Completion of Maintenance/installation Activities
ENM2/005 Carrying out Fault Location on Mechanical Equipment
ENM2/006 Carrying out Maintenance Activities on Mechanical Equipment

Optional Units (one unit must be completed)

ENM2/007 Restoring Mechanical Components to Usable Condition by Repair
ENM2/008 Carrying out Scheduled Maintenance Activities on Mechanical Equipment

Designed for
Personnel who assist skilled Maintenance or Installation Engineers and have no formal qualifications.

6 to 9 months depending on candidate
