Course Objectives
• To enable participants to achieve work based competences in
Engineering Maintenance Activities
• To assist participants gain a nationally recognised qualification
• To improve the skills level of an Employer’s Maintenance/
Installation Workforce

Course Content
There are eleven Pathways that an employer would select from including;

Mechanical Maintenance
• Electrical Maintenance
• Fluid Power Maintenance
• Equipment Installation

After induction to the programme candidates will be required to provide evidence of competence for the units that make up a specific pathway. They will also need an understanding of underpinning knowledge for the selected pathway and individual units.

Mandatory Units
ENM2/001 Complying with Statutory Regulation and Organisational Safety Requirements
ENM2/002 Using and Interpreting Engineering Data and
Documentation
ENM2/003 Working Efficiently and Effectively in Engineering

Plus all the following Units:-
ENM2/004 Handing Over and Confirming Completion of
Maintenance/installation Activities
ENM2/009 Carrying out Fault Location on Electrical Equipment and
Circuits
ENM2/010 Carrying out Maintenance Activities on Electrical Equipment

Optional Units (one unit must be completed)

ENM2/011 Carrying out Modifications or Rewiring Electrical Circuits
ENM2/012 Carrying out Scheduled Maintenance Tasks on Electrical Equipment

Designed for
Personnel who assist skilled Maintenance or Installation Engineers and have no formal qualifications

Duration:
6 to 9 months depending on candidate
