Course Objectives
• To help new entrants improve their ability in Literacy and Numeracy prior to commencing on a formal NVQ Level 2 course of training
• To increase entrant’s chances of successfully completing the agreed course of training
• To give entrants the chance to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Basic Skills

Course Content
Following induction onto the programme, which will include Diagnostic Assessment to identify areas of learning need, all entrants will agree a Training Plan which includes expected minimum levels of achievement. Necessary training and continuous review of progress will then take place in accordance with the Training Plan

Location:
All training and assessment will take place at NLT premises, probably on an agreed half day/day release basis
