Course Objectives
To enable the course candidates to:
• Understand pneumatic system layouts
• Identify a range of pneumatic components
• Interpret drawings and build pneumatic circuits in a safe manner
• Make all necessary adjustments and carry out basic fault finding

• Pneumatic actuators
• Directional valves 2/3 3/2 4/2 5/2 5/3 and shut off
• Flow control Meter in, Meter out
• Building pneumatic circuits on training rig
• Basic circuit design
• Basic fault finding and diagnosis
