Apprenticeship Testimonials

Finding the right candidate to work in our office is exceptionally difficult since we are battling with finding candidates not only with good skills but also who have the right attitude. We work in a sensitive environment where accuracy and attention to detail are of paramount importance. We have used the services of NLT Training Services for years now as they seem to acquire exceptional candidates as well as offering a high quality support service themselves. Many of our long standing team members began with the company having started on an NLT Apprenticeship Programme. Sarah Store has worked with us for over two and a half years now and with the support of NLT, Sarah has completed the Business Administration Apprenticeship in 75% of the anticipated time given for completion. In the short period of time Sarah has worked with us she has developed from office junior to apprentice Financial Advisor. She has thrived in a competitive environment because of her ambitious nature, an attribute fostered by NLT amongst its students. She is awesome!

I completed my Apprenticeship training with NLT Training Services whilst working at North Lincolnshire Council. It has given me the knowledge and skills to progress with my career.
I now work at management level with the council and have recently started to recruit my own apprentices through NLT.
Working whilst gaining an Apprenticeship gives an excellent grounding for future career prospects and it helped me get the to the position I am in today.

When it came to leaving school I knew college wasn’t the right route for me to take, I wanted a more practical hands on approach rather than being sat in a classroom all day. I contacted a couple of training providers and registered with them both. From that point onwards NLT provided me with an effective service, all the staff were extremely helpful with any questions and within a short time I already had some interviews arranged. NLT contacted me to say they had a vacancy within their own office and I had been selected for an interview. I was fortunate enough to be offered the position and started as soon as I turned 16. I have since gone on to complete my Business Administration at level 2 & 3 and I have a full time position within the company as Recruitment Administrator. Taking this route has improved my confidence and keyskills and enabled me to gain experience that I wouldn’t have, had I gone to college. It has given me the step into employment that I was looking for and the confidence to progress into other areas that interest me, not just restricting my options to what I know best. I can now focus on progressing further into an area of my choice.
Philippa Meunzberg, NLT Training Services Limited

We were approached by NLT Training Services Limited this year about employing a trainee administrator as part of their NVQ Apprenticeship Scheme. Initially unsure of how a young person would fit into our environment, we have been pleasantly surprised by how adaptable and effective Rachel has been, quickly becoming a trusted member of our team. NLT’s support package reduced any risk to us as employers about working with inexperienced trainees, providing reassurance that if any issues arose these would be dealt with quickly and effectively, and not be a drain on our limited resources. The ongoing monitoring and assessment has been focused on both Rachel’s and our company’s needs providing a structured process for Rachel’s first year on full time employment. We will have no hesitation in taking additional NLT Apprentices when the time is appropriate.
