As an engineering maintenance technician you will service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing, production and transport industries.
Your work will fall into one of two types of maintenance – preventative (planned) and emergency. You could be responsible for things such as making sure that a production line gets back up and running or for ensuring the Health and Safety of equipment users.
As your career progresses you can go on to senior team leadership roles, where you’ll be overseeing the work of your co-workers.
